IKEA is a world-famous Swedish company specializing in the trade of home furnishings and practical interior solutions. According to 2019 reports, the company owns 433 stores worldwide and it has over 211,000 employees. 

In 2011, IKEA established its presence in Bulgaria by opening a store in Sofia with an area of over 30,000 sq.m. Approximately 25 000 sq. m. from this territory is intended for commercial activities, along with the provision of over 1200 parking spaces for the customers of the store. In addition to the site in Sofia, the company has opened three order and collection points in Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas, which help customers with the choice of furniture and facilitate the logistics and the supply chain management process.

IKEA store in Bulgaria is a franchise of the Greek company "Furlis", which holds the rights to the brand also in Greece and Cyprus.
